The way you played, the grace you possessed...
Justice was served when your predasesor was george best...
You shaped our club and will be missed...
I think of you sober, i think of you ******

Some connected to Man Utd say Munich was nothing to do with them. How wrong they are! It is remembering that team of 1958 that keeps the red spirit alive and the hope that one day we will see that kind of excitement on the pitch once again. It's come close since but will never be the same.

Remembering Duncan today, 21st February.

50 years ago today you left us brokenhearted.
I WISH you had survived. But then again, they said you'd probably never ever play again. For a man...MAN, a boy-wonder, a collossus who lived for football, that would have been terrible for you, big Dunc.

We'll never see your like again. My idol, my hero.....the best.

That was Duncan Edwards.

iam not a manchester united supporter and im only 16.but when i was told about the crash and how it happened i was in floods of tears.
i also love the poem " the flowers of manchester " it is really moving and the minute silence was the perfect way to respect the greatest players in the world.

My 9 year old niece, who thought United meant Becks then Rooney, Ronaldo, discovered Munich this year because in her private school they had a minute's silence on 6/02/08 and she now knows about Duncan Edwards and Roger Byrne. That seems to me to make £5000/year for school a bargain!

I have been a UTD fan ever since I was a tot when they were relegated to the old second division,
I'm proud to say I was at the game on sunday against city and it was a wonder to behold.
It showed just how much this time meant to not just to Manchester United but to Football as a whole.
Both sets of fans were brilliant.
Credit where credit is due the city fans were fantastic, yes I know they lost the great "Swifty" but the respect they showed was marvelous.
I don't know how anyone could come away from Old Trafford and not feel the enormity of the occasion.
It truly was one of the darkest days in english football,
But as the fans all sang, Man United Will Never Die.
Long live Man United and God Bless all who died on that cold day in '58

I am only 13 and i heard about the Busby babes in a history lesson. We watched a video about them and i nearly started to cry. They seemed like really nice lads! they will never be forgotten i know that much!

RIP

I have been to Duncan Edward's grave and it is a credit to Dudley.
The way that both sets of fans observed the minutes silence was a credit to Manchester.
The boys who lost their lives were a credit to football
